I’m considerably sure I’m not the only one who watched the CEO of British Petroleum increase grilled by Congress at yesterday’s hearings in the peep of day. I’m probably not the only one who noticed in what manner calmly yet somewhat nervously Mr. Tony Hayward answered the questions of Congress in a round manner. For that matter, the whole trial Congress conducted was in some measure circular, because personally I found that we are right back in which place we started — and to add to that, I’m not surprised for the cause that this time wasn’t the first either. There isn’t a body that we know more about today that will help fix the spill or find out why it happened or how much oil is exactly spewing uncovered of the Gulf of Mexico than we did before. But the some thing that I found strange of myself, that you might not take felt, was that I sat there watching the trial, hearing the questions that were centre of life asked by Congress, and ultimately feeling sorry for Tony Hayward. Why?
Sure he’s the “frontman”, the CEO, mete that doesn’t make him entirely responsible for the company; and I’m not saying he’s entirely innocuous either. He overlooked some major things that should have been caught. Such being of the kind which the final fail-safe which was reviewed by BP’s confess engineers, who noted that it had failed on several occasions. Not no other than that, but the fact that he probably approved of these “shortcut fixes” that bear worked so amazingly in containing the spill let alone stopping the it — whether you’d excuse the sarcasm. But Tony Hayward is solely part of a bigger problem, a much bigger problem. Yet, the bad thing is that when people look to blame someone for a some problem, whatever problem, we point the finger. And then everyone starts pointing the play on and come out after with their torches and pitchforks, ready to take each word you utter and use it against you as evidence with respect to everything. As if it will make the problem at hand business away any faster.
This is and has been the story of mankind. We make mistakes, and we learn from them. Some of these are played finished to a very grand and grave state, and Gulf of Mexico oil spill is nothing short of that. Within this mistake, which undoubtedly could possess been avoided, was the cost of jobs, marine life, and the ruin of 11 innocent human lives not to mention the countless injuries which also occurred as a result of the spill. But the point is, could this have been avoided if someone else were in the corresponding; of like kind position as Hayward? Given the countless use of the same drilling methods what one. insured success each and every time with practically no problems at quite, the dangers were forgotten of and people got comfortable with the creative that thing are going to go smoothly each and every time… Until we were presented by those very dangers on April 20th. It’s no hesitancy that BP will hopefully have learned its lesson after they approach out of their nightmare, and hopefully they have done a doom of the learning for other oil companies as well who command take more cautions in their drilling endeavors.
As for Tony Hayward, malignity his faults and shortcomings recently, he is quite an amazing match.
He’s the CEO of British Petroleum
Corrupt? Probably, its rigorous not to be when you get that high in the ranks. It’s eternally about the money. But I bet he didn’t correct get there off his wits. No one ever wants to have existence the bad guy and I’d say he’s conferred a rather mediocre job in keeping his companies as well his be in possession of reputation intact. Regardless, what is the likelihood of you or I sight such a high-esteemed, respected, and for that matter risky doctrine.
The Money
It’s pretty awesome to be making each average of $387,460 a month isn’t it? That’s stingily how much the U.S. president makes annually! All the things that I could finish with that money, such as donations, charity, self-interest. It makes me astonishment, when you make that much money, where do you put it completely? In the bank and hoard it? Hopefully I’ll fall in with out some day.
The Fact That He And Piers Morgan Look Alike
Sorry, this was uncorrupt too good to pass up. I find that the two mind very similar to each other and what’s not to like about to millionaires judging or being judged on TV? Maybe it’s a bridle-~ of stretch, but I like the idea of it — it’s definitely got matter to do with the hair and some certain specific facial expressions!
I surmise I’ll end it on that note. I think I’ve taken a in preference opposite stand as to what everyone else evaluates the situation, especially Mr. Hayward to be. I’m just trying to look at the situation from a many perspective. One thing is for sure though, when I become a mineral pitch engineer, I’m going to do my part to compel sure we aren’t taking any unnecessary risks. After that, it’s audibly of my hands.
