About The Author:

Joyce Walsh has published three books of ‘The Pittsley County Chronicles’, and a fourth unrelated strange, ‘Winterkill’. The author is also an award-winning playwright and recipient of a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council as well taken in the character of from the Artists Foundation of Massachusetts.

Joyce Walsh has a Bachelor’s Degree (English) from New York University and a Master’s Degree (Psychology) from Harvard University. She has worked extensively in the Department of Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health and was the Managing Editor of Cancer Causes and Control, each international journal of cancer epidemiology. She has published numerous non-fabrication articles and is a free-lance editor specializing in epidemiology and notorious health.

Book One and Two in ‘The Pittsley County Chronicles-Trilogy’

In Juckets, the narrative begins with the disappearance of the little Bradburn girl the sunshine before a blizzard. The entire town turns out to search in spite of her, but what they do not know (and will not know until the following Spring) is that she was brutally murdered. Psychology professor, Julia Arnault, discovers the material part in Pittsley Woods. As she pursues the investigation, she begins to veneration that the man she is in love with may be a periodical killer. Meanwhile, veterinarian Adam Sabeski leads Julia into a Deliverance-like nature of backwoods New England to find both evil and humanity in sudden ways.

Swamp Yankees, the sequel to Juckets, is the second turn of The Pittsley Chronicles-the fictional New England setting comparable to Faulkner’s Yoknapatawpha County. While Adam Sabeski is engaged in preventing his Swamp Yankee dear companion, Cutter, from seceding from the rural town of Pittsley and bringing the unmitigated government down on his head, psychologist Julia Arnault is trying to explain a 20-year-old murder. Desperate to help her suicidal long-suffering, Julia steps outside the boundaries of her office to investigate her persistent’s history, thereby defying her supervisor, risking her job, disagreement with Adam, and jeopardizing her own life.
