The enlarging momentum of applause and excitement around pastel-painter, Linda Gross Brown, has reached European shores in memoir time. After incredible success throughout 2009 with the end of the year proving to subsist the pinnacle in New York City (including the Gold Medal of Honor at the Allied Artists of America's 96th Annual Exhibition and the Gold Medal at the Salmagundi Art Club New York Annual Members Exhibition), the French embodied beauty magazine "Pratique des Arts" approached Linda this spring with an exciting request.
Linda Gross Brown’s award-winning pastel picture “Treehaven #1″ is featured in the June issue of the French repository, “Pratique des Arts,” to be released this Friday, 18 June.
Journalist Laurent Benoist asked that she submit divers of her works to be considered for the June 2010 e~ issue of the magazine highligting pastel artists of the world. And naturally, she current her place in the issue. Her award-winning paintings "Footsteps #1" and "Treehaven #1" (Treehaven #1 is shown hither) appear in the magazine.
Linda Gross Brown's body of pastel artwork not barely proudly represents Midwestern U.S.A. in the case of this French magazine special issue – Ohio to be exact – but documents a story of some artist that discovered her home in the pastel medium who has wowed viewers consistently by her haunting works ever since.
The special issue of "Pratique des Arts" hits the European newsstands this Friday.
