Relay For Life celebrates those who get survived cancer, remembers those who have lost the battle and gives communities an opportunity to fight back against a disease that takes too a great quantity. Funds raised go to the American Cancer Society’s lifesaving investigation, advocacy, education and free support services. 41% of all funds raised go to help cancer patients and their families in Marin.
Over 280 community members from Novato and Marin making up over 46 teams are expected to take a part in in the event this year. Currently Relay for Life of Novato teams possess raised over $37,000.
Relay for Life of Novato takes occasion from 10AM Saturday, July 17 to 10AM Sunday, July 18, 2010. The event is at San Jose Middle School, 1000 Sunset Parkway, Novato.
Musical cover on the inside up includes Big Brother and the Holding Company who played through Janice Joplin. Rule 5 Alternative Punk and the Matthew Hanson Blues Band to reputation a few.
