HedgeServ Tops Hedge Fund Administration Survey

- HedgeServ, a fund administrator recognized for providing innovative solutions to the alternative investment industry, has received the highest overall average score in Global Custodian magazine’s 2010 Hedge Fund Administration Survey.

In addition to its overall rating, HedgeServ received accolades in all categories, including Client Service, Value, Fund Accounting, Investor Services, OTC Derivatives, Middle Office Services, Reporting, Compliance and Taxation, Fund of Funds Administration, Technology and Risk Management. HedgeServ was recognized for providing excellent service to different types and sizes of funds with significant “Best in Class” recognition awarded across all categories.

This is the first year HedgeServ has participated in the survey, which is published annually. In its 15th survey, Global Custodian gathered responses from 1,420 clients of 38 hedge fund administrators from around the globe. The survey is intended to measure service quality and value in 15 categories, across a full range of fund characteristics such as size, strategy and location.

In a write-up accompanying the results Global Custodian commented, “No respondent can yet think of a weakness at HedgeServ beyond its newness, and even that seems an advantage in terms of technology.”

The survey also included client quotes. “What would normally take me one hour to explain to other admins takes me 5 minutes with HedgeServ,” said one client. The “competence of staff is superior to any I have worked with – systems are far superior to any I have worked with,” said another.

“We are very pleased to have scored so highly in all of the survey’s categories in our first appearance in the Global Custodian Hedge Fund Administration Survey,” said Gene Mannella, CEO and co-founder of HedgeServ. “We are gratified that our clients have recognized our commitment to providing excellence in service and innovative technology solutions. We are committed to continuing to strive for excellence in the delivery and quality of our service as we continue to evolve our technology platform.”
